Standard activated carbon filters are often misapplied and unintentionally remove all oxidizing disinfectants-- including chlorine and chloramine. Without these disinfectant residuals, plumbing systems become more susceptible to microbial growth and biofilm formation, increasing the risk of colonization by opportunistic pathogens such as Legionella pneumophila.
Argonide's NanoCeram and PAC (Powdered Activated Carbon) Series Pleated Filter Cartridges are engineered to eliminate these challenges.
